    • Diabetes patients should include apples in their morning routine. Apples contain antioxidants that help reduce cholesterol levels and keep the digestive system healthy.

    • Bananas, rich in carbohydrates, can also help lower diabetes levels.

    • Guava, high in vitamin a, vitamin c and dietary fiber, is very beneficial for diabetes patients.

    • Additionally, pears, peaches and blackberries are helpful and should be included in a diabetes diet.

    • Avoid sweets

    • Start your morning with a glass of water mixed with half a teaspoon of fenugreek powder. If you don’t have fenugreek powder, soak it in water overnight and drink the strained water in the morning.

    • Sugar free biscuits and tea are readily available in the market today and should be included in your daily routine. 

    • Try to eat sprouted chickpeas and lentils.

    • Include oatmeal and brown bread in your breakfast.

    • If you don’t like oatmeal, include oil free paranthas with yogurt.

    • Drink milk without cream.

    • For lunch, have chapatis, rice, lentils, vegetables, yogurt and salad.
